As well as publishing its own books, the FrameCharge Press offers a selection of print design and production services for both individuals and organisations.
A 32 page, A5 sized (148 x 210 mm) softcover guidebook, printed on glossy paper with a matt-laminated card cover. As well as text it contains 19 photographs (colour & B&W) and one especially-created diagram. High-quality, four-colour lithographic printing was used throughout.
Copies supplied: 1000
In addition to a paper copy, the client was able to supply the guidebook as a basic text file containing very little styling or formatting, which made the initial editing easier. A large selection of digital photographs were also made available, allowing the editor to advise the client on which would give the best results.
Unsurprisingly, several of the most important and/or informative images were only available as hardcopy photographs, some of which were old and very faded. These were scanned and cleaned, with appropriate enhancements applied to those that had deteriorated. The editor recommended that a floor plan of the church would aid understanding by the reader - this was duly prepared and included at the front of the guidebook.
The final price per copy of the guidebook was highly competitive, allowing the church to achieve a surplus on the very reasonable cover price.
